State Park (Tuttle Point)

About
the Chaplain:
Brenda
Loucks is the chaplain in the park at Tuttle Point Campground.
Tuttle Point is a beautiful
state campground located on the northern shores of Pymatuning Lake
in northwestern Pennsylvania. Brenda serves the campground with the
help of her family; husband, Hugh; daughter, Ashley; son, Zachary;
sister-in-law, Diane Heathcote and brother-in-law Dale Heathcote.
Ashley, Diane and Dale are her Carpe Diem praise team.
They
would like to extend a warm welcome to camp with them at the park.
The park is open from
the first weekend in April through the last weekend in October. The
chaplain serves the park from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends.
Chaplaincy
Program:
From
Memorial Day through Labor Day Weekend, a part-time chaplain is
hired by the PA Council of Churches to provide nondenominational
worship services each Sunday. The services are held at 9:30 AM
in the Amphitheater area (hidden behind the Water Treatment Plant)
in loop 400 of the Campground. Please feel welcome to come early for
coffee, pastries and fellowship. The Chaplain also tries to
visit each of the 200 campsites every weekend for the purpose of
inviting the campers to the worship service and to inform them of
additional activities which are sponsored by the chaplaincy
program. These additional activities may include such things
as children’s activities (that are usually held at 4:00 on
Saturday afternoons), hymn sings, scavenger hunts, campfire stories,
games, etc.

Local
attractions:
“Where
the Ducks Walk on the Fish”, come feed our thousands upon
thousands of carp. You can also sit and watch the beautiful Canadian
geese and Mallard ducks. Or take your boat out and try your luck at
catching that big Musky, Walleye or the many pan fish for a campfire
dinner at it’s best.
We
are also known for the area amusement park of yesterday. A beautiful
antique in itself, Conneaut Lake Park is over 100 years old, located
on the shores of Conneaut Lake. It is less than 10 miles
from our campground.
